This blues solo is primarily written in 12 tone and is skillfully composed over a blues accompaniment. There is opportunity for both the soloist and accompanist to improvise, and guidelines explaining how to play the improvisations using either the 12 tone row or the blues scale. Both the row and the blues scale are included in the notes which can be used as a resource for the improvisation. This is a terrific solo for any horn player yearning to play jazz. Note: Your accompanist for 12 Tone Blues should be able to improvise. Important corrections are found in our Free Items.
